TurboRunner®

Patented Technologies
TurboRunner®
Turbine-Powered Completion Running System
High-speed reaming to land completions and liners at target depth, without the need for surface rotation.
Well Fluid Driven
Hit an obstruction, circulate. The turbine spins the reamer shoe at low operating pressure while the completion string remains stationary.
Ream Through What Others Cannot
High-speed reaming clears ledges and tight spots. The completion is isolated from the vibration and reactive torque associated with rotating the entire string.
Land at Target Depth, First Time
Fewer wiper trips and less risk of an off-depth completion.

Introduction

The TurboRunner® is a rugged, reliable tool designed to land completions, liners and casings at target depth, without the need for surface rotation.

Its turbine-powered reaming system operates at high speed with very low circulating pressures, making it especially effective in problematic wells where off-depth risk is high.

By protecting the completion string from vibration, reactive torque, and pressure spikes, it eliminates the risk of prematurely setting downhole equipment, reducing flat time and maximizing access to planned reserves.

No Surface Rotation

Reams completions, liners, and strings to target depth with the string static, through obstructions conventional tools cannot pass.

Gentle on Delicate Strings

Low vibration, low torque, and very low circulating pressures protect intelligent completions and other pressure- or motion-sensitive equipment.

Maximized Reservoir Access

Landing at target depth minimizes loss of reservoir section, protecting planned reserves and the ROI of the well.

How It Works

Reaming Without Risk

Landing a completion off depth means reduced reservoir section. Forcing strings to depth with rotation risks damaging delicate strings or prematurely setting packers and other downhole equipment through vibration and erratic pressure responses.

The TurboRunner®'s patent-protected, turbine-powered reaming system generates high-speed rotation at the shoe while the completion string stays static at surface. Operating at very low circulating pressures, it reams through obstructions without transmitting damaging torque, vibration, or pressure to the string above.

The result of this is completions, liners, and casings land at target depth, with intelligent completions intact, wiper trips reduced, and flat time cut from the well construction schedule.
